GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY
Our policy is to provide and maintain, so far as reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy working environment, for all employees and other people who may be affected by what we do. The company is committed to its legal duty under the health and safety at work Act 1974 and will provide sufficient resources to achieve this aim.
Safety is everyone's responsibility. It is important therefore that everyone works together to achieve and maintain reasonable standards of Health & Safety. This Policy requires everyone's support to make it effective in the company. We will obtain safety or medical services deemed necessary to assist us in meeting our legal duties and our commitment to this policy.
OBJECTIVES
To assess the risks arising from our activities and to take action to eliminate or minimise them.
Carry out regular inspections of the workplace to ensure that we continue to provide and maintain a safe place of work.
Where safety devices have been installed on equipment, ensure that they are regularly tested and maintained.
To provide information and training to our staff to ensure they can work safely and without risks to their health.
To consult with our employees on matters that effect their health and safety.
To report and investigate all accidents and near misses
RESPONSIBILITIES
The success of the policy requires clear duties for H & S for everyone. Responsibilities will be set and we expect all our employees to carry out their responsibilities. The managing director, Kenneth Thew, and the Company Secretary, Danella Scott, are ultimately responsible for the success of the policy. Simon Scott is the director with day-to-day responsibility for Health and safety.
ALL OUR DRIVERS ARE REQUIRED TO CONFORM TO HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES ADOPTED AT EACH CUSTOMER'S LOCATION
