Independent Waste Paper Processors Association
The IWPPA is the trade association for independent waste paper processors and their equipment suppliers. The Association was formed by a group of privately owned waste paper merchants in 1975 to promote and widen the use of recyclable papers both within the UK and for export.
Some of the IWPPA objectives are listed below;
Freight Transport Association
Freight Transport Association represents the freight transport interests in businesses throughout the UK. Its members range from small and medium size enterprises to multinational public companies which are involved in all modes of transport.
FTA members operate over 200,000 heavy goods vehicles, about half the UK fleet, are responsible for 90 per cent of freight consigned by rail and 70 per cent of goods shipped by sea and air. This unique multi-modal mandate enables FTA to speak authoritatively on all aspects of freight based on the broader transport needs of industry in the economy. Its strong representational presence at a local, national and European level enables timely, accessible and relevant information and support for its members to ensure a safe, legal and efficient transport operation.
This knowledge also underpins FTA's industry-leading services.
The Association's training team offers members consistently high pass rates in transport qualifications at all levels in the organisation whether drivers, supervisors or managers. Members' legal compliance records are audited and benchmarked through FTA's vehicle inspection, tachograph analysis and driver management advice. Consultancy services provide bespoke advice on dangerous goods and distribution management and the provision of transport consumables through Shopfta ensures FTA offers a rounded solution to the transport industry.
